Part 2 of OSPRE® consists of seven face to face scenarios; therefore your training course will concentrate on providing you with the maximum practice to get over the ‘stage fright’ and shape your performance into what we at Part 2 Made Simple know is required.
We know all about nervous candidates and most people in truth do not want to enter into this process, but you need to get over this hurdle and we are the people to help you do so. It may appear uncomfortable at first, but ultimately it will prepare you for the national exam.
We restrict our class sizes to a maximum of 10 candidates to 2 trainers. This allows constant genuine assessment of each person’s performance, so you do not get lost in the crowd.
The candidates and trainers will be divided into 2 small groups and are interchangeable throughout the course, so we see all of you and you see everyone else.
Each day you will personally complete a minimum of five, ten over the two days. You will receive feedback and scores directly after each performance.
You will get the opportunity to see others perform in small groups, but you will not role act or directly assess others. These are the skills that require training experience, which is where we come in.
The standard of material, the role acting and assessing will be to national standards. The feedback will be direct, but constructive. We will discuss with you the best methods for the preparatory stage and how to cope with the limited timing that OSPRE® presents.
Day one will consist of a 9 hour day, starting with a presentation in the first hour, followed by scenarios. We will have a short break in the morning and afternoon with 30 minutes allowed for lunch.
Day two will be an 8 ½ hour day, consisting of scenarios. We will have a short break in the morning and afternoon with 30 minutes allowed for lunch. The course will conclude with a brief roundup.
